It is well known that stress can be a major component of physical and emotional illness. The Baird Health & Counseling Center (BHCC) offers individualized stress management techniques and counseling sessions guided by licensed mental health counselors.

Issues involving academics, emotional health, depression, financial distress, disordered eating, relationships, grief, addiction, acute or chronic illness, frequency of illnesses, communication issues, time management, fatigue, anxiety, abuse or other sources of stress are addressed respectfully and realistically.

BHCC is a safe place for students to visit and talk over the issues and events affecting their lives. Professional assistance is offered to help a student solve a problem. In addition, BHCC staff are familiar with all college departments and are prepared to serve as advocates for students as needed while maintaining confidentialty.
