sexual health

Students often have questions related to their sexual health. Baird Health and Counseling Center (BHCC) is a student-centered health and counseling service that provides knowledgeable, nonjudgemental, and confidential care to all students including gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender.

Education is basic to each visit and we welcome the opportunity to interact with students who want information on various topics, projects or programs.

BHCC services include:
- Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- HIV testing and counseling
- Pregnancy testing and counseling
- Pregnancy and STI prevention counseling
- Emergency contraception
- Reproductive health checks (including pap smears and breast exams)

Students with questions related to contraception can schedule an appointment to find out about the various options. Nurse practitioners on staff are able to write prescriptions for methods that require one. Counselors are available to help students with all issues around sexuality.

Often questions related to one's sexuality are difficult to discuss. The staff at BHCC have the experience and sensitivity to address these issues in an open and nonjudgemental manner. We are committed to providing factual information to students so that they may make well-informed decisions throughout their college years.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact BHCC at 603-526-3621 or Baird Health & Counseling Center.
