The Academic Development Center offers support services to help your students achieve their academic potential. Our services are designed to complement and enhance the learning that students gain from your course by focusing on individual or special needs that are difficult to address within the classroom. The services are free and available to all students.
Do you have students who could benefit from tutoring or regular interactive review sessions? Tutoring sessions not only can improve students' understanding of the content but also can improve their confidence and their ability to see the interrelationships of ideas.
Are you concerned about a student who seems to be working hard but not performing well on papers or exams? A referral to James House for an assessment of the student's learning strengths, needs, and strategies may be helpful. We also screen students who may have undiagnosed learning disabilities.
