Even without the presence of a senior, the 2007 Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team had high expectations going into the season. They wouldn't disappoint as the team comprised of three juniors, six sophomores, and six freshmen played in two championship matches to end the season.

The 2007 All-Granite State NCAA Division III Volleyball Team was announced and Colby-Sawyer's Michelle Doody (Franklin, Mass.) was chosen as NH Rookie of the Year and was a First-Team All-State selection and New Hampshire's own Taylor Forsberg (Moultonborough, N.H.) was also chosen as a First-Team selection. Kristen Romanko (Mansfield, Mass.) and Genny Moore (Centerville, Mass.) were both selected Second-Team All-Granite State.
NEW LONDON, N.H. The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team has closed out the 2007 season with a No. 13 ranking in the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Division III Volleyball poll. The Chargers finished the season at 28-8 overall, 25-7 in regional competition.

November 7, 2007 Michelle Doody (Franklin, Mass.) tallied 18 kills and Genny Moore (Centerville, Mass.) added 57 assists as the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer College defeated the Pioneers of Smith College 3-1 in the quarterfinal round of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Women's Volleyball tournament Wednesday night. The Chargers defeated the Pioneers 30-22, 27-30, 30-16, 30-27 to advance to the semifinal round of the tournament on Saturday.
