SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - May 31, 2009 Nineteen Colby-Sawyer athletes were named to the Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Commissioner Gregg Kaye. A total of 362 student-athletes were honored and all 14 institutions in The Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the Academic All-Conference Team.
Coach Bill Foti and his men's basketball team enjoyed another successful year as one of the top squads in The Commonwealth Coast Conference, posting a 10-3 conference record. The team recorded their eighth 20+ win season in program history, with a 20-8 overall record. The Chargers reached the TCCC Championship game for the third time in the last six years, and earned an ECAC Tournament appearance for the eighth time.
NEW LONDON, N.H. March 23, 2009 Senior Duncan Szeliga (Newmarket, N.H.) was a First Team selection for a second straight season. Junior Jon Chaloux (Barre, Vt.) was named a Second Team All-State member. Freshman Will Bardaglio (Wayne, Maine) joined Chaloux on the Second Team, and was honored with the New Hampshire Rookie of the Year award.
NEW LONDON, N.H. March 4, 2009 The No. 2 seed Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team was upset by the No. 7 Rivier Raiders in the opening round of the ECAC Tournament, 72-62, Wednesday evening. The Raiders were led by senior Lance Bisson (Nashua, N.H.), who scored 20 points and dished out seven assists. Senior Duncan Szeliga ended his Colby-Sawyer career with 20 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, for his third double-double of the season.
NEW LONDON, N.H. March 2, 2009 The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team has earned the No. 2 seed in the ECAC tournament beginning on Wednesday, March 4. The Chargers will host the No. 7 seed Rivier at the Hogan Sports Center, with tip-off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
BIDDEFORD, Maine February 28, 2009 The University of New England men's basketball team won the 2008-2009 TCCC Championship on their home floor, Saturday evening. The Nor'easters came away with a 9079 victory behind hot shooting from three-point land. UNE improves to 24-4 overall, while the Chargers drop to 20-7.
The Colby-Sawyer Chargers (20-6) men's basketball team will travel to UNE (23-4) on Saturday, February 28 to decide the TCCC Championship. As a team, the Chargers shot 54% from the field and were led by junior Jon Chaloux (Barre, Vt.) and his 23 points.

February 24, 2009 The No. 2 seed Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team advanced to the TCCC Semifinals after earning an 81-73 victory over the No. 7 seed Leopards of Wentworth, Tuesday evening. The Chargers will host the No. 3 seed Fighting Scots of Gordon on Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m.

February 21, 2009 - Junior forward Mike Booker (Springfield, MA) led five starters in double figures with a season high 19 points as the Western New England College men's basketball team defeated Colby-Sawyer 79-67 in the final game of the regular season for both squads Saturday afternoon (Feb. 21).

February 18, 2009 Junior Jon Chaloux (Barre, Vt.) led three Chargers in double-figures with 18 points to lift Colby-Sawyer to a 72-57 conference victory over the visiting Leopards of Wentworth. The Chargers improve to 18-5 overall and 10-2 in TCCC play. Wentworth drops to 9-15 overall and pulls even at 6-6 in the TCCC.

February 14, 2009 The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team dropped a hard fought battle to the University of New England, 81-72, in front of a packed house at the Hogan Sports Center, Saturday afternoon. The No. 10 regionally ranked Nor'easters extend their winning streak to 19 games and improve to 20-3 overall and a perfect 11-0 in TCCC action. The Chargers, whose five game winning-streak came to an end, fall to 17-5 and 9-2 within the conference.
WENHAM, Mass. - February, 10, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team was firing on all cylinders Tuesday night at the Bennett Center, en route to a 90-64 victory over Gordon. The Chargers have now won six consecutive games and are 17-4 overall, 9-1 in TCCC action.
NEWPORT, R.I. - February 7, 2009 - Senior guard Matt Lemieux (Manchester, N.H.) took an inbounds pass with six seconds left and went baseline to baseline to score the game-winning layup while leaving one second on the clock as visiting Colby-Sawyer College defeated Salve Regina University, 75-73, in The Commonwealth Coast Conference action.
BEVERLY, Mass. February 4, 2009 - Colby-Sawyer College got 22 points from Jon Chaloux (Barre, Vt.) and the Chargers' defense held the Gulls to just 56 points on 21-of-60 shooting (35%) as CSC downed Endicott, 67-56, in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference game on Wednesday evening in Beverly, Mass. The win improves Colby-Sawyer to 15-4 overall and 7-1 in Conference play, while Endicott falls to 8-12 and 3-5 in the TCCC.

The Chargers improve to 14-4 overall and 6-1 in the commonwealth coast conference. Roger Williams suffers just its second conference loss (5-2) and moves to 9-9 overall.
QUINCY, Mass. - January 29, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team recovered from a half-time deficit to defeat Eastern Nazarene 73-63, on Thursday evening. The Chargers have won seven of their last eight games and hold an overall record of 13-4 and a TCCC mark of 5-1.

The Chargers improved their overall record to 12-4, while the Lynx dropped to 3-13 on the season. Senior Duncan Szeliga (Newmarket, N.H.) collected a double-double as he scored a game-high 12 points and collected 11 rebounds.

Castleton, Vt. - January 15, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team took a break from TCCC action to travel to Castleton, on Thursday night. The Chargers defeated the Spartans 103-68, to improve to 9-3 overall. Castleton falls to 1-11.

CONCORD, N.H. December 2, 2008 - The Colby-Sawyer Chargers earned an 87-83 win over Plymouth State in the second game of the 9th Annual Jacob's Bridge Through Autism Basketball classic, held on Tuesday evening at NHTI. The win pushes Colby-Sawyer's record to 3-2, while Plymouth State falls to 2-3.
NASHUA, N.H. - November 22, 2008 - With a first half that boasted four lead changes and three ties, it was easy to see that this match was shaping up to go down to the wire. Colby-Sawyer went to the half with the slight 28-26 margin, but the lead changes and ties kept coming in the early part of the second.
NASHUA, N.H. - November 21, 2008 - The Chargers defeated Rutgers-Camden, 79-60 on the first day of the All Metals Industries Rivier College Tip-Off Tournament. The Colby-Sawyer Chargers never trailed as they hit the first three pointer of the first half and never gave up the lead. The lead had grown to 12 by halftime and the Chargers never looked back.
