Join us in "Celebrating 175 Years Together," when the college community and local residents commemorate our shared history with addresses by college and town officials; a dramatic reenactment of the July 4, 1837, signing of our charter; music; historical games and displays; the planting of the 175th anniversary tree; and a big, beautiful birthday cake for everyone to enjoy.
In case of rain, this event will be held in Cleveland Hall at the First Baptist Church.

"Fearless" Photography Exhibit Reception - Hogan Sports Center
Photographer Jeff Sheng will discuss his portraits of LGBT
student athletes from around the country. Sheng began this project in 2003, documenting high school and collegiate athletes who are out to their predominantly straight teammates and coaches. Alumni are invited to attend this reception, meet the artist and view the exhibit, which will run through November 9.

Reception for Nancy Lyon: A Master Weaver's
Rediscovered Work Mugar Art Gallery, Sawyer Fine Arts Center

Community member Nancy Lyon, who passed away in 2011,
was a talented artist and craftswoman. This exhibition features many of her colorful and intricate weavings, samplers and painted canvases, as well as high-end woven and constructed clothing. The works displayed will be for sale as part of a Chance Auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust of New London, N.H.

Lantern Tour * meet at the bandstand on Sargent's Common*
Join us for a historical nighttime tour of Colby-Sawyer College's campus, both old and new, led by lantern light. Learn the history of the buildings, the campus and the founding families. Of course, no tour would be complete without the legends and ghost stories connected with the college!
Dinner is on your own this evening. Enjoy one of our region's many restaurants or have dinner with our students in the Dining Hall.

Archives 175th Anniversary Celebration
Stop by the Cleveland, Colby, Colgate Archives to see photographs and memorabilia connected to this year's reunion classes. College Archivist Kelli Bogan will be on hand to discuss online exhibits in Haystack, including our newly digitized film collection, and explain how to donate your materials and memories to the Archives. Archival exhibits are on display around campus throughout the weekend.
