More women are entering U.S. politics, there are more women in Congress than ever, and we have female presidential candidates in both parties. But what does this actually mean for women? What do the media get right and wrong in their coverage of women in politics? Professor Melissa Meade, chair of the Humanities Dept., leads this timely discussion.

Working Women celebrates 36 outstanding contemporary women artists – from emerging, young talents to demonstrated masters. The art on exhibit encompasses painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, ceramics and graphic design. Join us for the opening reception, featuring a gallery talk by Professor of Fine and Performing Arts Burt Yarborough.

Colby Sawyer’s Fasten Your Pink Ribbon 5k Run/WalkQuad
Lace up your running shoes for a good cause! Two student clubs, the Health Professions Association and the Guild of Artistic Thinkers, host this event to benefit the American Cancer Society. $10 entry fee, registration opens at 3 p.m. on the Quad.

Class of 1965 Dinner Cruise on Lake Sunapee
Join your classmates aboard the MV Sunapee II for a scenic dinner cruise around Lake Sunapee. Advance registration is required. Registrants must be on board by 4:45 p.m. Vans will depart from the back of Colgate Hall at 4:20 p.m.

This award-winning documentary by Mike Mooney '02 and Will Peters '06 chronicles ultra-runner Zak Wieluns '02 as he trains for a 100 mile race. The filmmakers and star will be in attendance for a Q&A.
