12th Annual Meeting Recap
The 12th annual meeting of Adventures in Learning (AIL), held in the Ware Campus Center at Colby-Sawyer College on May 19th, was a mixture of business and pleasure. The meeting kicked off with a photo retrospective created by Maureen Rosen followed by featured speakers Arthur Rosen, AIL's outgoing president; Morris Edwards, incoming AIL president; and Thomas Galligan, Colby-Sawyer's president. They spoke of AIL's 2010-2011 highlights, upcoming events and paid special in memoriam tribute to John Callahan, one of AIL's major contributors, and to Bob Gray, one of AIL's founders and another major contributor to the program.
A celebratory piano duet featuring Charlotte Signor and Heywood Alexander as well as a performance by the Sunapee Singers were enthusiastically received by the over 150 AIL members in attendance.
Incoming president Morris Edwards and vice president Joanna Henderson were welcomed and greeted at a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception after the concert. Also welcomed were new Board members Van Crawford, John Ferries, Mike Moss, and Dan Schneider.
