What do you like about the area?
New London and the Sunapee area are incredibly scenic. Here on campus you are surrounded by mountains, and though fall is a favorite season of mine for the foliage, the campus looks beautiful at any time of the year. The area is great for skiing, hiking, and a perfect place to get away from the stressful rush of the city. I absolutely love it here!

What advice can you give a student about the college search process?
Give yourself plenty of time to search, visit the campus, and even stay overnight with a current student. Don't get stressed out. Most importantly, ask questions and be yourself!

What is your favorite part of campus?
Can I pick two parts? I love the theater and the library. I love the theater because I practically lived there during my years at CSC, as an avid lover of the theatrical arts and self-expression. And I love the library, because of my love of literature. Where else can you find a library that was built from a beautiful country barns? The silo is an architectural wonder and the various lofts make it an excellent place for studying. Personally I find it's romantic and rustic, and the perfect place to curl up with a good book!

Something about myself:
I wrote and performed a one-woman show during my time here at Colby-Sawyer, and it was very humbling to be able to share my writing in a venue other than the classroom, especially on the college stage! I also love slam poetry and encourage students to express themselves creatively in whatever way suits their personalities best. Try something new and don't be afraid to seek out help with achieving those dreams!
