Anytime students are talking with their families about what they're learning, that really pleases me.

All students who are taking out a Stafford Loan (Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized) must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) in order to accept the loan. This includes returning students who may have already completed an MPN in previous years.
1) The student must go to www.studentloans.gov and log in using your federal PIN. This is the same PIN used to submit your FAFSA.
2) In the left column under "Master Promissory Note", click on "Complete MPN".
3) Select the "Subsidized/Unsubsidized" link.
4) Enter your personal information and personal references, review the terms and conditions and then sign and submit the form.
5) Colby-Sawyer will receive notification within 24 hours that this has been completed.
To see if you have already completed this, log into studentloans.gov and click on "Completed MPNs".
Entrance Counseling: All first-year students must complete the Entrance Counseling option as well. Returning students who have already done Entrance Counseling do not have to do this a second time. To see if you have already completed this, log into studentloans.gov and click on "View Previously Completed Counseling".
For more information, click on the Applying for Loans link below.
Families are now able to apply for Direct Federal Loans. Visit our Applying for Loans page for more information.
If you have received an outside scholarship, please fill out and return the Outside Scholarship Form.
Colby-Sawyer has sent financial aid awards to all accepted first-year students who have submitted a valid FAFSA. These awards were sent through email as well as postal mail. First-year students can view our Award Letter Guide for help reviewing their award.
Students applying for financial aid must complete the online FAFSA application.
Step One: Visit www.pin.ed.gov to apply for student and parent Personal Identification Number (PIN). This will serve as your electronic signature on the form.
Step Two: Complete FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
