Financial Aid Priority Deadlines
- Early Action and Regular Decision students: FAFSA due by March 1
- Fall transfer students: FAFSA due by April 15
- Returning students: FAFSA due by March 1
Required Forms
To apply for financial aid, you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form by the priority deadline listed above.
- Visit the website www.fafsa.ed.gov for step-by-step instructions.
- Remember to apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN), which serves as your electronic signature on the form.
- Colby-Sawyer's federal school code for the FAFSA is 002572.

- If your financial situation has changed, you can submit a Special Consideration request form.
Net Cost Guarantee for Qualified Students
In order to qualify for the net cost guarantee, the student must:
- Consider Colby-Sawyer as a first choice and the University of New Hampshire Durham Campus or the University of Massachusetts Amherst Campus as an alternate.
- Be either an independent student or have a custodial parent household that has an adjusted gross income of $200,000 or less.
- Have earned a Chargers Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship, Founders Scholarship, or a Wesson Honors Scholarship at the point of admission.
- Be a full-time residential student, intending to pursue a similar degree at the University of New Hampshire or the University of Massachusetts that they would be studying at Colby-Sawyer College.
- Provide Colby-Sawyer College with a copy of the University of New Hampshire's, or the University of Massachusetts' financial aid award letter for review.
Net cost is defined as costs minus grants and scholarships. Costs include tuition, all applicable program and facilities use fees, as well as room and board charges.
