With the help of faculty advisors, students select courses. Advisors also monitor academic progress and recommend activities to support the student's interests. All faculty members serve as student advisors.

The Susan Colgate Cleveland Library holds 90,000 volumes and 800 journal titles as well as videocassettes, audiocassettes, and compact discs. Computer workstations are available for access to the library's online catalog, electronic databases, and the Internet. Additionally, Information Resources provides students access to e-mail accounts and other online services to support their learning experience.
The Harrington Center for Career Development and Community Service is staffed by professionals who offer a variety of services to students. The Center has career exploration and job placement resources as well as information concerning internship sites for students, job listings, and community service opportunities.
The Parent and Family Relations Office seeks to guide and support parents and family members of a Colby-Sawyer student. The office is a central point of communication when parents and families have a question about a college policy or procedure, or need advice about how best to help students approach a particular issue.
The Academic Development Center offers educational support to all full time Colby-Sawyer students. The Center provides individualized writing consultation, mentoring, and study skills and content-area tutoring to students wishing to further develop their academic skills. In addition, the Center provides support services to students with documented learning disabilities.
The registrar's office issues course schedules, registers students for classes, maintains academic records, certifies students for graduation and provides academic transcripts.
There are seven departments at Colby-Sawyer College: Business Administration, Exercise and Sport Sciences, Fine and Performing Arts, Humanities, Natural Sciences and Math, Nursing, and Social Sciences and Education.
