“I have learned the importance of understanding nature in creating manmade landscapes and how art involves politics, business, and economics, in addition to providing beauty and inspiration.”
Jennifer Sullivan,

The Colby-Sawyer College story began back in 1837, when local citizens gathered to create a coeducational secondary academy on a hill in lovely New London, N.H. The school evolved into a junior college for women in 1928, before becoming the comprehensive liberal arts college for men and women that it is today.
The college has since become a rising star among comprehensive baccalaureate colleges in the North, recognized for its low student-to-faculty ratio, small classes, closely knit community and personalized quality of education.
We welcome you to browse our Web site and to learn more about our academic mission and strategic plan. We place our students at the center of everything we do. Stories of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends course through the site, creating the narratives of a cohesive teaching and learning community.
